Lunchtime Concerts

Our 2022 lunchtime concert series starts on Thursday 9th June and runs through every Thursday 1 - 2pm until 27th October, with a refreshing mix of classical and jazz concerts. There is a suggested £5 donation to attend the concerts, and One Bread Cafe will be open before and afterwards serving coffee and lunches.

30th June – Rob Luft (guitar) + Alice Zawadski (violin/voice) 

                    Two of the jazz world’s brightest talents join forces in a delightful duo 


7th July - Joss Peach Trio (piano, bass, drums)   

                BAFTA award winning composer’s popular jazz trio  


14th July - Oliver Nelson (violin) + Vasilis Rakitsis (piano)  

                  One of the south-east’s finest classical duos returns by popular demand                 


21st July - John Bruzon (piano)

                 Brighton’s own classical piano maestro


28th July - George Trebar’s Nighthawks Trio (alto sax, piano, bass)

                  Top jazz trio play cinematic classics


4th August - Michael Maine (organ)

                      All Saints’ Organist Emeritus plays our famous Hill organ.


11th August - Constance Chow (piano)

                       Acclaimed classical pianist, in a change from the printed programme 


18th August  - Al Scott Trio (piano, bass, drums) 

                        Classy jazz piano trio in the Bill Evans style


25th August - David Stevens (organ)

                        All Saints’ Director of Music plays our famous Hill organ


1st September - Phillip Dyson (piano) 

                            Internationally renowned pianist plays popular classics and ragtime      


8th September – Sam Braysher (alto sax) + Joe Webb (piano)

                             Top British saxman joined by rising star jazz pianist                               


15th September – Kelleth Piano Trio (violin, cello, piano)

                               Leading local chamber ensemble perform Beethoven’s Ghost Trio


22nd September – Kate Williams (piano) + Dave Green (bass)

                                Outstanding British jazz pianist and composer is joined by jazz bass legend   


29th September – Buck Brass Trio (trumpet, trombone, horn)  

                                Joyful sounds from three top brass players


6th October – Chisato Kusunoki (piano)

                         Japanese classical piano virtuoso now resident in Brighton


13th October – James Thomas (organ)

                           The former Director of Music at St Edmundsbury Cathedral plays our famous Hill organ


20th October – Michiko Shimanuki (piano)    

                           Distinguished locally-based pianist performs new work by local composer Barry Mills 


27th October – Sara Oschlag’s Jazz Party (voice, trumpet, guitar, bass)  

                           Popular Danish jazz singer with guests from the thriving local scene.
